Our logo was created with real meaning and intent. It represents a combination of ideas which we feel defines our purpose and goals for the podcast.
The shield represents the notion that we are "On Guard" and ready for a battle, a spiritual battle.
The sword is "God's Word" and represents our desire to have all that we do be actively based on it. Subtle but necessary is the blood dripping from it. This is mean to demonstrate that through the Word of God we learn that blood sacrifice is necessary for atonement. The twinkle on the blade is our way of demonstrating we are to be actively watching and waiting for God to press forward with the End Times plans.
The shadow cast by the sword depicts the cross of Jesus and reflects the focal point of God's Word and the life of Jesus as our Messiah and Savior.
Linking the sword, the cross and the blood gives us the redemption story. There is an intangible link between being "On Guard" for the future and being covered by the "shadow of the cross".
The open book represents God's living word in our lives. And, the bookmark demonstrates we are active readers of that Word. This is our way of showing consistent study and careful reading and interpretation.
The crown is an obvious item. Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He currently sits at the right hand of God the Father, but He will one day be here on earth as our glorious King.
The nails represent the pain which Jesus suffered to provide a means of salvation.
Gordon and I give credit for this creation to Joshua Douglas. We thank him for his creative idea and support.
We also have a version of our brand which is less busy.
The letters "O" and "G" represent our name: On Guard and remind us that we need to be ready at all times to share the gospel and to be God's representative to anyone who may have an interest.
The sword represents "God's Word". Our desire is to have all that we do be actively based on Biblical principles, doctrines, concepts and ideas. The twinkle on the blade is our way of demonstrating we are to be actively watching and waiting for God to press forward with the End Times plans.
The three stars have a dual meaning. The most obvious meaning is the doctrine of the Trinity. Our God is One, yet he represents himself to us through three forms: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The second meaning is that we are citizens of another place, not in this world. Jesus has gone there to prepare a place for each believer and we cannot wait to see it.
